About
Hi, I'm Ryan.
Just a kid from the Philippines, Sydney transplant since 20, software engineer by day, lover boy and home cook the rest of the time. This site is where I write down the food I actually cook at home.

Where I come from
Born in the Philippines.
Moved to Sydney at 20.
Home is the thing I keep reaching for, and cooking is the closest I get on most days. Everything I know I learned over someone's shoulder in a kitchen that wasn't mine, and the recipes I keep returning to are the ones that taste like a place I've actually been.
What I do
Engineer by day. Surfer, climber, cook the rest of the time.
I'm a software engineer and I'm genuinely obsessed with the craft. Outside of work I surf, rock climb, and chase whatever's good for the body. As a Filo, I used to live on a basketball court — these days the ocean does most of that work. Health and fitness are non-negotiable for me, and food is the anchor that holds it all together.

What this is becoming
A journal now.
A surf villa later.
This year I started showing up online — recipes, routines, the small systems that hold a good week together — over on Instagram. This site is the long-form version of that, the place where the recipes actually live.
The bigger plan is to be back home half of the time. Later this year I'm breaking ground to pursue my dream to own a surf villa in Siargao, Philippines — a place that's been calling me back. Everything I'm building right now, online and off, is pointed at that.
Who this is for
People in their twenties and thirties trying to figure life out.
If you're between 18 and 40 and you want to cook better, work smarter, use AI like a power tool, train your body, and live a life that actually feels like yours — you're who I'm making this for.
